Hey folks,
I'm excited to share this lesson plan I've put together that has just been an absolute hit for me in my classroom. This is an activity that is a Tinsley family dinner-time ritual, which is to go around sharing our individual rose, thorn, and bud of the day was.
In class, it's a phenomenal way to organically embed a mindfulness practice of reflection and gratitude. It also authentically lends to students speaking across time frames, which we know is a big step toward upper intermediate proficiency levels. With appropriate scaffolding, students of every level can participate.
Perfect for Friday classes, to reflect on the highs and lows of the week, and to acknowledge things to look forward to!
