Hey friends!
Hoping everyone is thriving and looking ahead to a restful, restorative, rejuvenating weekend.
So! The time has come to get back to the business of Book Clubbing. I have reflected quite a bit about it and I decided that it would be most helpful to start planning TWO sessions ahead, so as to allow as much time as possible for friends to order, receive, and read the books in the queue.
With that said, I have decided on our next AfroFranco read, which will take place Friday, March 18, 2022 at 8PM Eastern.
For that session, we will be reading the new and acclaimed, winner of the Prix Goncourt 2021, La plus secrète mémoire des hommes by Mohamed mbougar Sarr
I couldn't be more excited to read this one and discuss it with y'all!
So for the following meeting, which will take place Friday May 20, 2022 also at 8PM Eastern, I need some help choosing! Take a look at the attached survey and cast your vote.
Also, as always, the AfroFranco Book Club is a free and open resource for any and all who wish to participate. If you would like to throw a little something in the collection plate for this labor of love, you can subscribe here, which will also get you a Certificate of Participation to present to your departments/districts for potential Professional Development credit!
Thanks errybody! Can't wait to catch up with you all! And please, spread the word!
Ben
